Benny Goldberg

Born in Warsaw in 1919 and lived in Detroit from 1922 to 1945. Boxed as featherweight and bantamweight and had only two losses in 37 recorded bouts. Won 14 fights by knockouts. Elected to Boxing Hall of Fame in 1994. Was world’s second-ranked bantamweight from 1943 to 1946, and in 1943 lost 15-round split decision in title fight. Inducted 1995
